Question:

If America is a "free" country...?

Why do we have so many rules, taxes, and governmental regulations. If we were truly "free", we would not have a government that spies on citizens and some of the drug laws that we have. For example marijuana use. Isn't one definition of a free society that citizens have the right from governmental intrusion into their lives? I believe the laws should cover murder, dangerous crimes, drugs like meth, heroin, etc... drunk driving, theft etc...

  1. America is not a free country

you are "free" to follow rules and work things of that nature

    but besides that......nothing is free.....

  2. You make a good point

However America is still the freest un free country in the world . There are no genuine free countries left.

  3. Move to one of those countries with a F***** government like China, Cuba or North Korea, then I think you'll appreciate our "free" country.  Do you actually think the Government is spying on YOU?   You shouldn't be worried about that unless you have reason to be worried.  Such a shame when people like you don't appreciate what others have done before you to make this country such a wonderful place to live.  Have you ever asked yourself why so many people want to come here and live?

  4. Been argued before to no avail
