10 ANSWERS

  1. They're cheaper and get the job done faster and better than a lot of Americans.

  2. They do the job for way less than what it's worth since many farmers are greedy and don't want to pay what the job is worth.

Don't blame hard working Americans who could do those jobs faster and better than illegals, blame the farmers who don't want to pay and the lazy illegals who take the job for that amount.

  3. Because Americans have earned the right either by birth or education to have the better jobs. Migrant workers don't bother me, who wants that job anyway. White collar jobs bother me more. Why should a citizen who has numerous degrees have to work at a gas station when an immigrant has taken their job. We need less white collar immigrants and ease up on the quotas for migrant help IMHO.

  4. Its' all about the pay and stoup labor and, frankly the ready availability of cheap labor from a corrupt and disfunctional neighboring state. If Americans were doing the labor for a decent wage don't be sure some clever anglo wouldn't have figured out how to do the whole thing via an ingenious machine by now. Just look to the last century if you want to see some real innovation- seen any agricultural machinery worthy of note coming from Mexico of late? I doubt it. Things like this require the genius of American invention. The mechanically gifted Irishman or German or Jew that can make it happen. Beyond that we are merely subsidizing an unsuitable class of mestizos that fill our prisons and gang up our cities. Virtually anytime you are force to bring in a labor group to do your dirty work you invite a future social disaster.  The opposite is true when you invite the more educated groups to immigrate. Sort of hate myself for saying this- BUT FOR GOD'S SAKE IS IT TRUE OR WHAT?

  5. San Francisco's sanctuary city policy was put to the test just last month.

Edwin Ramos, an illegal immigrant and member of the criminal gang MS-13, was arrested by SF officials -- but not referred to federal immigration officials because of the city's sanctuary city policy. Again, SF officials refused to cooperate with immigration authorities.

In June of this year, Ramos allegedly committed yet another crime. He murdered Bay Area residents Tony Bologna, 49, and his two sons -- Matthew, 26, and Michael, 16. The three were returning home from a family picnic.

It appears that "San Francisco values" places the welfare of illegal aliens above that of local citizens.

  6. At one time there was American and Mexican migrant workers (migrant in that they moved from job to job). When the illegals came in they screwed both the American and the Mexican workers by cutting wages, no taxes, no benifits, ect. It depends on the economic situation as to the balance of American to Mexican workers. When you have illegals it screws up the balance and both American and Mexican legal workers suffer.

  7. CHEAP AND MASS QUANTITY, LITTLE TO NO INTEREST IN BENEFITS, PREVAILING WAGE FOR THAT FARM, JUST TO NAME A FEW

  8. I agree with the above poster.

Why are you using migrant workers...which are legal...to try to justify illegal criminal aliens spitting on our immigration laws?

The ONLY thing your claim is "justifying" would be the hiring of MIGRANT WORKERS.

  9. No,it's because the illegals will work much cheaper.

  10. Migrant workers are legal if they are U.S. Citizens.  If they are not U.S. Citizens, they are not legal and there is not another way to it.

Migrant workers were hired over American Citizens a few years ago because they worked for considerably less money.  That continued.. the abuse of those people continued.. until very recently.  So far, the Federal government has not come out with a policy that clearly supports American Citizens in those jobs... it is almost as though they want illegal aliens to do the jobs, but when they do finally support the development of that American work force, they will get American Citizens to do the job.

Forum.. the growers use to bring workers in from all over Mexico to do the job.  They let them live in open spaces here and there... outdoor toilets, no schools, and very ugly circumstances.  If the growers want workers, they should be made to supply places for them to live.. and they refuse to do so.  They actually believe you and I should pay for the places those workers should live in.

Until the Federal Government supports the law without equivocation, the American Citizens who use to do those jobs cannot be expected to come to the areas for harvest.
