If Anderson Silva ever challenged Forrest Griffin for the Light Heavyweight belt, would Forrest Keep his belt?

Or will Silva walk away with the Light Heavyweight title? That is if Forrest does'nt loose his title before it ever gets to that point. I'm not sayin Forrest will loose his belt, I'm not sayin Forrest won't loose his belt.

I've said it before and I'll say it again I firmly believe that fighters with an in/out style like Griffen, and Machida are just ripe for the picking for Silva to knockout considering that Silva is a precision striker that picks his shots, so every time Griffin comes in Silva is going to make him pay for it every time so Silva can win this unless Forrest can utilize his wrestling then it could be a different story.

Forrest Griffin is one of my favorite fighters, however, I'm not sure he can beat Silva.  It would be a great fight but Silva seems like he's a better all around fighter.

Forrest won't drop down he's to heavy.. but he can't lose his belt becuse they would have to do a catch-weight like Hughes and Gracie did, unless Silva stays at 205 and gives up his middleweight title.

Thats what the UFC is setting up to do... I checked into it and what they want is to have the biggest PPV in history of fighting.. in one night! It is going like this.. on the 1st Sat of Jan we are going to see

Anderson Silva  vs  (The 205 Champion)

GSP  vs  Bj Penn

W. Silva  vs  Rampage Jackson

Forrest is my favorite fighter, and always has been since I started watching back in the first season of the Ultimate Fighter, but I don't know if he could handle Anderson Silva. He has some of the best striking skills in the world because he is so accurate with his punches. He is also better on the ground than Forrest even though he has been working on that. I would probably take Silva by decision unfortunately.

Silva already publicy stated he will not stay in the LHW divsion. However if he did fight forrest, I think Silva would won. When Forrest fought Rampage he got caught with some power shots and all most lost. Silva is so on point with his punching that it would not be just a lucky 3 or 4 shots. Forrest needs to get hit before he starts to fight. With Silva you cant do that.

i love forrest hes my favorite fighter but i think silva might beat him unless he improves before they fight or if they fight

i really dont think forrest would drop down to the 185 when he has the 205 belt

Silva would win. He seems much quicker on his feet than anybody I have seen at 205 lb. Would be fun to watch because Forrest likes to slug it out, but Silva would probably finish him in round 2, if not earlier.
