It seems true though that the Australian Government are blaming parents for their childs mishaps. Take fast food places like Mcdonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Who is to blame? Wankers.

  1. I don't think the restaurant is to blame, you have to have self control. In the case of a child, it would be the parents fault because you have to limit your child of things they eat. You can't let your child eat Micki D's every day, but once a week wouldn't do any harm.

  2. All around the world, if a product is misused or abused it is the fault of the consumer not the manufacturer or seller.  You cannot just ban a company or an industry because folks cannot take responsibility for how they spend their money and what they put in their mouths.

By that logic you also need to eliminate companies who make or sell guns, knives, tobacco, cars, scissors, and food.  And then you need to eliminate all restaurants, convenience stores, and grocery stores.  Products from all of these can be misused to cause health problems and even death.

  3. I know people that can eat at McDonald's every day and not gain an ounce of fat.  They enjoy going to places like that.

So, why should we get rid of those places?  Because some fattys don't know how to control themselves when they go there.    When their health becomes important to them, they will stop going there.

  4. Parents are to blame. they are responsible for taking care of their children if they are buying fastfood for them every day because they don't want to go home and cook. how is it fast food fault. if you claim that you are to busy then you need to cut stuff out of your life. its always easy to blame some one else for your problems then admit that you are to blame. whats going to happen once fastfood places close up or make adjustments to be healthier and the kids still end up fat. whose going to get the blame then

  5. I think its  more of the parents fault than the fast food places. I think if more people realized that this stuff is unhealthy,

fast food places would go out of business...But I dont see that happening anytime soon! Fast food is convinient for people who dont want to cook,  and thats a shame . They are passing down these bad habits to there children!

  6. Parents can decide not to feed their kids that junk. Personal responsibility, that's what it's all about.

  7. Better to get rid of video games and TV so kids would have to go out and play like I used to when I was a kid.

  8. Parents should opt out of taking their children to fast food places, esp. it the children have health issues.  Why not enroll the kids in jr. cooking classes and solve both problems at once?

  9. I think an idea that would be better is to ban the production and importing of all candy in Australia. If those kids are still getting fat then maybe they should be issued ration books so they can only eat a small amount of food each day.

This idea makes about as much sense as your recommendation and it is as unlikely to ever happen as yours.

  10. I guess it's getting around. It's a big problem in the U.S. too.

I took a Microbiology class in college. Our instructor said that he wanted to bulldoze all of those fast food places. They are loaded with all kinds of not so great things. It's going to shorten their lives. Who knows what it's going to have on their health when they get older. I worry about that with myself. I certainly don't go to those places regularly. Now, I won't at all.

I think you have the right idea because discipline has gone from society. People are weaker.

  11. Oh, it's actually our fault, here, in the USA.

    We will assimilate you.
