If Bangladesh had Sachin Tendulkar and Muttiah Muralitharan in there side and then the same other 9 players as they have now.

How far up in the ICC rankings would they be?

How many more test series would they win?

Thanks from the People's Champ

  1. You could have picked better players! I don't think those two would make much difference.

  2. Sachin, great batsman though he is, rarely plays a match winning innings. So all his input would do would be to give Bangladesh higher totals.

Muralitharan, on the othe hand, would win many matches for Bangladesh. He is used to be the sole wicket taker for Sri Lanka; when he is gone, they will revert to being the whipping boys of world cricket.

They would be mid-table in the ICC rankings, fluctuating between 5th and 8th.

  3. obviously they would have been up but atmost by 2 or 3 ranks

Team efforts are required to win an both  these guys won't perform everytime

  4. well having Sachin would sure as h**l help players like Ashraful and Aftab Ahmed, giving them a resonable looking middle order, however they would still lack a good opening combination (i had high hopes for Omar and Nafees but they both seem to have disappeared) and having Murali would help their spinners, but there spinners are actually ok, still developping but they are developing well, the problem they have no pace support, Mortaza is developing well but even on his best days, the batsman can just see him off the score at the other end, so i dont think there bowling would be that much stronger because i think they need a good quick rather than a spinner, someone like Brett Lee would make a h**l of a difference!

their batting i think would be alot stronger, not just by Sachin scoring runs, but his influence on the players around him, and taking pressure off someone like Ashraful, but i dont think any spinner (even warne) would make there bowling alot stronger, they need quicks more than spinners

  5. They'd be a little higher. Possibly 7 or 8. They would probably challenge a little more and get the odd test and series win. It wouldn't have a really big impact though.

  6. lol sachin and muttiah? uhh they wuld at most be at top 5 and no higher than 2nd b/c australia will always beat bangladesh even with sachin and muttiah

  7. They would had been in top 5 under the spirit of those legends.

  8. They would be higher up in ODI rankings, test rankings may be

one more level up. A player like Sachin and Murali may not be

enough to win games, but their experience and skills will make

others around them to excel and contribute. Hence they would

continue to win more games. A single player's run or wkts may

not be enough, but as collective team effort with the inspiration

of these 2 players will make them to win.

  9. they would be wiing lots of matches

  10. Hmm.........Sachin and Muralitharan are awesome players but it takes more than 2 players to win matches and be a good team....I don't think they would have climbed up the rankings and reached a better level.

  11. They would be the same. 2 good players cannot change the ranking of a team. But they would win some of the matches which they would have lost if Sachin and Murali were not there. The two of them cannot play well in all the matches until some miracle happens.
