If Berbatov rejects a contract from City, can they do anything about it?

Just to clarify the transfer rules.

Can spurs force Berba to sign for City?

They can't force him, but...

Spurs haven't accepted a bid from Utd (and maybe wont at 'any cost', just to spite them) so if Berbatov may have to decide whether to leave for City, where at least he'll get a clean slate, or stay at a club where he's not wanted.

If Berbatov is offered £130,000 a week I don't think he will need to much forcing!!

No, Tottenham can't officially force it but they can 'persuade' him to go if you get what I mean!
