  1. If Biden is great, why would he claim that Obama is unfit to be president, and then say that he would be honored to run with or against McCain?

If McCain is so great, how come he wasn't selected as the VP in 2000?  Your question seems to be addressing some kind of politically motivated factor for VP selection as opposed to one that is based on practicality.  Biden is a better fit for the Obama administration.  If HIllary is only good for votes, as you imply, then what will she be good for after the election?  Using this logic, McCain must then pick either Huckabee or Romney as his VP since they finished behind him in the primaries.  We'll see if that works out that way next week.
