If Brett Favre plays this season and has a great year, how hard will it be for Manning to break his td record?

Met, I believe Manning has carried the team. He has been the reason the keep making it to the playoffs. He makes the receivers champ. I know great receivers with crappy qb's that don't do anything. A good receiver needs a good qb and the receiver will look even better. I also believe Manning is in the tops with 4th quarter comebacks. Isn't that carrying your team?

  1. Possible-if Brett keeps improving his interception and incomplete passes records! Playing with high school kids is harder than going against pros-if Manning starts early enough nothing is impossible.

  2. Manning will double it so it doesnt matter plus he can match them when the colts goto Lambeau! sorry Aaron Rodgers looks like GB broke its promise! lol

  3. I don't think it will be any easy accomplishment either way. But it makes it quite a bit harder.

  4. Favre's interception record will go higher.

  5. LOL Manning doesn't have a chance

  6. Manning is going to break the TD record whether the little attention w***e (Favre) plays again or not.  People need to remember that other than Favre, Manning has the 2nd longest consecutive games played streak in the league and that's only because Favre has been around longer.  Manning has been healthy his entire career and if he stays that way, he'll have no problem breaking the TD record and the record for most passing yards as well.  In fact there are several other records Manning can and probably will break before he is done other than those 2.  And I guarantee you Manning will NEVER throw even close to 288 INTs like Favre has.

Favre needs to shut his mouth and go away once and for all.  I think it's great that both attention whores in professional sports (Roger Clemens being the other) have gotten served this year.  Every year they play this "beg me to come back" bs and I'm happy to see both of them eat a big fat one this year.  It's LONG overdue.

  7. Manning is a rookie compared to favres accoplishments

  8. I'm curious to see how well Manning plays after Dungy retires and he starts losing those big time receivers he's got. Manning has always had excellent weapons and one of the best coaches ever so when they're gone I expect his numbers to make a huge drop.  He has never had to carry the team on his shoulders like Favre, Marino, or Elway. I think this may be the last year Manning has elite numbers. With the rest of the division catching up, the aging Colts will soon be dethroned. It may not be true but i've heard he has a huge ego and is all about himself. If it is true, he'll retire as soon as the colts start to decline. That way it looks like he was the reason they were so good. He has a ring now so it will make it easier to do. No matter what, I don't see him breaking any of the records even if Favre never plays again. That team is just going to start taking too many hits in the next few years and he'll have to do something he's never had to do, carry the team. He's used to winning and he won't like carrying the weight on the tail end of his career so he'll just retire.

  9. In their first ten years, Manning has 306 tds and Favre 255.  So, if Manning has a long career, he should be able to get it done.
