  1. He doesn't.

    All communication between toys is done via telepathy.

    Since theater audiences are mere mortals Pixar decided to translate the telepathic conversations so we could understand it.

    This is typical in Hollywood that's why Indians, aliens, Chinese, etc. speak English in most movies.

  3. what a great question BB, and one that I have often contemplated.  my personal theory is that while Buzz is under the impression he is "the real thing", at his true heart he knows he is one and therefore bahaves as other toys when humans enter the room.  It's only when he is faced with the "not a flying toy" ad, that he is forced to admit the truth to himself.

    I have watched this film far too much!
