Let's say he had the current run of success with the Rays instead of the Brewers, all of his stats would still be eligible from the Indians for the same league. Now, Cy Young is determined by voters so there's still an outside chance of him winning it but the other titles are based on minimum innings pitched, but with an AL club everything (his stats)would be cumulative, correct?

  1. no way can he win unless he goes 15-0. webb has it locked up. im not saying hes not a good pitcher, he is doing awesome, but webb is 17-4

  2. Yes.

  3. his stats in the AL before he came over werent impressive.  I believe he was 9-8 with an era over 3

so probably not at that pace.

  4. Yes, I think he would still be eligible and his stats would count towards all league titles. Because he didn't change leagues, his AL stats before the trade would still be recognized.

By the way, I think he is eligible for the NL Cy Young and Most Valuable Player awards. Those are not soley based on statistics, so if he continues to do really well and the Brewers end up doing really well then he will probably get alot of votes.

However, for things like ERA, or most wins, best winning percentage or any of the other purely statistical titles, he may have a hard time making all of the minimums needed to qualify simply because he might not have played enough games in the NL.
