  1. He definitely would stand a great chance! He sure has made a difference on that Brewers team!

  2. Oh ya definately with those numbers.  That would be so cool but lets be real here.  We can't sit here and expect him to go 12-0.

  3. He should if he has those numbers.

  4. CC currently lead the NL in complete games and shut outs.  If he goes 12-0 in half a season in the NL, he deserves the Cy Young.  He has clearly been dominant since his trade.  As a Twins fan, I am glad he is in Milwaukee and not Cleveland.

  5. It's not definite, but it sure won't hurt his chances.

  6. He should.  If Randy Johnson can go 15 or 16-0 after being traded and win it, CC should be able to.

  7. I doubt it, although it would be funny if he does.

  8. First of all Randy Johhson went 10-1 and finished 7th in the Cy Young voting in 1998.  The only player that won the Cy Young after being traded to the other league was in 1984.  He was 4-5 with the Indians before being traded to the Cubs and going 16-1 and winning the Cy Young award unamiousily.

If CC can go 12-0 with a 1.50 ERA and the Brewers make the playoffs then he would have a good chance of winning the award.  His main competition will be Brandon Webb of Arizona.  He's 16-4 with a 2.93 ERA currently.  A lot may depend on how Arizona finishes the season.

  9. The Brewers won't go to the playoffs for two reasons.....

    1. One pitcher can't make a difference

    2. The cubs are far ahead of the brewers

CC may win the NL Cy Young i say may because 12 wins isn't a lot because pitchers atleast get 20 starts in a season without getting injuried. CC Sabathia is a great pitcher but might not be ready for Cy Young.

  10. Yes, but this won't happen.

  11. Yes He will Most Certainly be a Candidate, but I don't Know if he'll actually win but I Am Pulling for CC and the Brewers to win and get in the Playoffs Its about time for Milwaukee and Tampa Bay to do so.

  12. He should

  13. I think a player needs to got the whole season in the NL to get the CY Young

But, he will be up for Consideration

  14. He's capable of those numbers, but what's the probability of that happening?
