  1. Nothing will be truly done about water conservation until it starts to affect the wealthy.  At that point water will be a very dear commodity.

  2. I DONT KNOW BUT DESALINIZATION THE OCEANS ARE FULL OF WATER IT JUST HAS TO BE PROCESSED AND  HOUSES EQUAL MONEY THEY WILL NEVER STOP BUILDING THEM

  3. I used to deliver the Los Angeles Times as a kid, and I can still remember a front-page picture that showed an overhead view of a neighborhood in Southern Californica...  Every house had a full swimming pool in the back yard.

Ironically, the front page article was talking about the ongoing effects of a drought that was occurring during the late 1970s...

Southern Californicans need to understand that fresh, clean drinking water is a limited resource, and treat it accordingly.  Instead, they continue to fill their swimming pools and maintain their fountains and lush, green lawns - while taking water from other areas (Owens Valley/Eastern Sierra, Northern California, Colorado River) to slate their thirst.

  4. Good question

  5. We do not have similar planning like Oregon to restrict growth.   Plus many government officials are in the pockets of Developers.    There are some accusation of Villaragosa being one of them.
