  1. Theres 8765 hours in a year so that works out at just over £80 an hour so you're entitled to £320

    Am I right?

I ran out of fingers and toes

no wait that cant be right

    hang on

LOL Cambridge are lucky to have me

  2. I hope I get locked up for a year to earn that much!!!!

it would take me 40 years to earn that!!!!!

  3. You will recieve.

    1) A rubber chicken

    2) A copy of 'Teddy Pendergrass plays his Wirlitzer Favourites'

    3) Front row seats to the 'Krankies' in Blackpool

  4. The comparison between Stagg's compensation and Ms Nickell's son's payout is an interesting one, but not a like for like comparison.

It's a question of blame - who was to blame for Stagg's wrongful arrest, wrongful imprisonment and humiliation by details of his sexual inadequacies being front page news? The Metropolitan Police. Can they pay? Yes.

Who was to blame for the child's distress. The murderer. Can he pay? No. Should such compensation claims amount to a lottery win? That's for taxpayers to decide.

Interesting that the Daily Mail chooses to get all self-righteous. Perhaps if the Mail and its like hadn't been so keen to make the lies about Colin Stagg front page news, then a payout of such enormity might not have been needed and there might be money available to compensate injured soldiers?

Does the Daily Mail care about our troops or Ms Nickell's son? Of course not. The Mail editorial team only care in making us outraged enough to spend our money on it's grubby rag. And this is just the sort of thing it loves.

  5. How do I get into custody?

  6. probably just your dinner

  7. he deserves it.  It's not just the year spent in custody but the information about him that was splayed all over the trashy papers, having to go through a sham trial knowing he was innocent and the effect this is going to have on the rest of his life.  He is going to find it very hard to get work of any kind after all this and the 'no smoke without fire' brigade will be forever pointing the finger at him.  Although someone else has now been charged with the murder, the police have not even had the balls to apologise for setting him up and treating him so badly.

  8. A quality bottle of wine and a cheap dirty all fingers and thumbs grope.

  9. He deserves a really big pay out.

The police tried desperately to frame him, while the press (especially the Daily Mail) insisted for years that he was guilty of the murder.

Hope Barry George gets a good pay-out too.

These people might be "oddballs"  but that doesn't mean the police and press can deliberately use them as scapegoats.

  10. Lucky we don't have hanging in the UK, no compensation would have made up for that.

    .

  11. It's a heck of a lot more than injured soldiers get, coming back from Iraq and elsewhere!!!
