  1. Darrell Waltrip???

I don't think anyone will consider, nor do I think he'll accept

First of, he will not be competitive having never been in a COT, not to mention the type of cars we run TODAY.

Secondly, he is past his "prime" or in my words, time

    Too old...

Let me tell you, he is a good commentator!!

    It's exciting with him there

  2. I wish i could that he could be competitive, but i think he's lost his edge ,unfortunately.

  3. He wouldn't last long. Boy it would be fun to see.  But I don't think he'd do starts very well, seeing as when he gets the green flag, he'll be too busy shouting "Boogity, boogity, boogity, let's go racin' boys!!" instead of timing his shifts! He'd fall back like a bowling ball..

Larry Mac would have to chime in his radio and say, "Buckle those belts tight ONE MORE TIMEE!"

Ah, put him in the ol' Aaron's dream machine!! Like the way Mikey set it up.. with a recliner, LCD TV, fridge.. in the commercial DW's like, "Man, I'm starting to like this new car!"

  4. His days as a driver are bye bye. Unless Mark Martin talk him into it.

  5. DW's my boy. (my all time #1)But no, his glory days are long gone to be a factor.

  6. he's too past his "whatever" you wanna call it. But he is one of the funnest guys to have around while commentating.

  7. Now that's one I'd love to see!! But I think he probally is way past his prime (sadly) but I like the idea!!

  8. No.  He's still got the fire and desire, but he's way past his prime.  Not to mention the fact that Stevie would never let him.

  9. I doubt it, I'm sure he has the desire to get behind the wheel and race, but he knows racing days are over. Because he loves the sport, he still around NASCAR as a commentator.
