  1. yes, junior is far more popular than his father ever dreamed of being. anyone who says junior is only popular because of his father are not very knowledgeable. junior was already more popular than his father before his fathers death.

  2. ROFl...no way.  Jr. fans were first Sr. fans.  No doubt about that.  I was one myself ONLY because I was a Sr. fan.  Now  I lost hope in him ever being more than mediocre. I know he is temporarily in second (soon to lose that to better ones climbing the ranks)...so he has gone the way of other really good drivers now bringing up the rear.

  3. Yes I think he would be. Dale Jr is a great guy and has plenty of fans that weren't Dale Sr fans.

  4. Jr already had a fan base before Sr passed away.  Yes he would be just a popular.

  5. Pretty much, he was extremely popular when Sr. WAS still with us.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  6. If Alan Kulwicki and Davey Allison had never died would Dale Sr and Jeff Gordon have won as many championships as they did in the 90s?

  7. Yes. Jr. was still popular when his dad was still alive....

    R.I.P. Dale Sr.

    Go Dale Jr.!!!

    JUNIOR NATION!!!

  8. No

  9. no, jr got so popular because who his dad his

  10. as popular as an Iowa flood.

  11. I was already a bigger Jr fan than I was a Sr fan before he passed away.

  12. Yes Dale Jr would have been Very Popular and we all know that if Dale Sr were still alive that Dale Jr would have already been a Cup Champion and Junior Would Have Never of wanted to leave DEI

    Go Dale Jr #88

  13. But he did...!!!

  14. yes he was popular as a rookie and sr.  was around then.

I will admit that many of Jr. Nation like him for his dad. But there are lots who like him for other reasons. Like me.

  15. Yes, he was already becoming very popular when Senior was alive, so why can't he be as popular.

  16. Ultimately, yes, I do believe he would. Because eventually Sr would have retired and Jr would still be heir apparent.

  17. I bet you he was a lot more popular the day AFTER Sr. died than the day before. So no, I don't think he would. He would still probably have the around most fans just for being an Earnhardt, but he probably wouldn't have as many fans as his dad did. I think that some other drivers would have comparable fan bases instead of Jr. fans making up almost 80% of the fans at a race.

  18. I've always believed that Dale Jr. inherited some form of a throne from his daddy. Junior would be just as popular, but some drivers like Stewart and Kyle Busch would not be booed.

  19. Yeah.  Dale Sr being alive wouldn't change his last name.  Now if Earnhardt hadn't ever raced, then it would be a different story.

  20. My family and I are Jr. fans, I think he was pretty popular before his dad died. As for myself I do feel kinda sad for him it must be hard to race on a track where one of you parents died. I know he  did get a lot of his dad's fans.

  21. Yes he would,& DEI  would be the  ULTIMATE  team thats for sure.

  22. Yes i think so, he is a good driver no matter who his dad is.

  23. nope. he had his own fan base of course ,but when sr died jr got the majority of his dads fans as well ,and alot of people were pulling for him sentimentally .

  24. I think hewould still be popular he just might not have JR nation

  25. I am a major Junior fan, liked him before  his dad past away. I think he would still   be popular..

  26. Yes but with a different group of fans.Nothing against his fans today, but if Dale had lived the promoting and selling of Junior would be very different.
