I know we will not see the kind show that elitexc put on, but what about the premature stopages, the major networks dont want to show a guy all bloodied up, and this happens often.

  1. I think that if it does. Then it will have more stopages. I also think that soon there will be a commission. Like boxing and other prime time sports.

However, Dana is very very money hungry so i think he would rather bring in Pay Per View fights.

  2. I have a feeling you wont see ref Dan Marigliata at any of the  UFC events in the future. They also will probably hold the  event in vegas where they wont have to deal with the CSAC.

The UFC also has thier own doctor on hand for stoppage

    decisions.

-To the guy above me the athletic commisions for most

states cover both boxing and mma . How do you think its even legal for them to hold fights if they're not sanctioned by a commision?

-Network deals are mainly for exposure for your company its

not all about money. Think about how many people never heard of Elite XC until last saturday.

  3. If Dana gets a network deal then thats great. He already has TUF and broadcasts on Spike for UFC Fight Night. I do not foresee Dana running after a network deal, the money is on the PPVs. As far as the other question regarding the commission, many states have Boxing Commissions that regulate and oversee MMA Events just like boxing matches. Some states are still Unsanctioned such as Iowa, Indiana, Maryland, etc. These fights are not Illegal unless there is a boxing commission in your state, they care considered Smokers. There are hundreds of promotions across the US that do events out of pubs all the way to huge venues.

  4. the ufc will still suck!

  5. omg, its bad enough we have stuff like survior, and idol on...no more mindless garbage...

  6. The biggest reason the UFC doesnt have a network deal yet is because Dana White insisted that the UFC still be able to run the event thier way and not have the network interfear. I think when it does happen the UFC shows will look the same, Dana White doesnt want premature stoppages anymore than any of us do. I think the way the elite xc show went down networks will be more likely to relinquish control to the UFC, and the shows will end up looking like they always do.
