Denver, Colorado was originally awarded the 1976 Winter Olympic Games but due to financial cost to host the games, Denver withdrew having the Winter Olympics in Denver and the Olympics went to Innsbruck, Austria instead who also hosted the Winter Olympics in 1964.

Although I have read that Denver, Colorado has considered putting forth a bid for the 2018 Winter Olympics, the only way this could happen is if Chicago did not host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. If Denver was to be awarded the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, it would be the third time the Western United States has hosted the Olympics; the first being in 1960 in Squaw Valley, California and the 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

If Denver, Colorado USA was to ever host the Winter Olympic Games, would you attend the games in Denver? Why or why not?

======================================...

If Denver did host the Winter Olympic Games, I would like to visit the Winter Olympics in Denver because my one of the goals I would like to do in life is to attend the Olympics and if the Olympics were held in North America, I would have better access to seeing the games.
