I guess the real question here is "IF"?

Well it's NOT HAPPENING. Go ahead, cry, whimper, and tell us real hockey fans, again that Pitt will win because someone is so cute and all. It is sad that we hear that so often, not to mention why some of you are here.

Pittsburgh came out flying however extremely nervous and lost it early after finding no success on there highly respected power play (best in the playoffs). It is no fluke they lost. Sure I am surprised we shutdown, nonetheless shutout, such a potent offense. They are playing a real team that is so deep and solid, highest scoring and best goals against. You say your youth will prevail against our old team? That is what we call inexperience. Pittsburgh hasn't faced a team like ours all year. This won't be pretty after Pitt goes back home down 2-0. Previously, I was predicting 6 games, it won't surprise me to see it over in 4, maybe 5 at most now. It is a different series now. One where your Pens haven't been, with the exception of 3 has beens. Shutting down the highly skilled offense of the Penguins is no different than what Detroit does game in and game out, and it is what we thrive on. Our chances come from our defensive play. As a team, which some of you don't realize, our players play there "role" to near perfection as it showed Sat night and all season, that is no fluke.

Some of you mentioned "your transition game", ha! Detroit has the best in the game.

Anybody follow Datsyuk? His current play shows how much he has matured from even a season ago when he was not a factor in the majority of our playoff games. Datsyuk looks small on the ice but plays huge. He used to shy away from contact. Now he throws his 190 pound body around like a defenseman sometimes.This is just one example of his commitment and sacrifice (things lacking in the Pens lineup) like so many other Wings. Last year, the Ducks left a bad taste in the our mouths after we fell flat on our butts. This group of guys have the determination, the will and grit to show the hockey world that we are still the best. So many predicted a downward spiral for the Wings, "good regular season team, just not able to win it all". Real Detroit hockey fans don't see it that way and it is shows.

It is evident that as announcers go, to just sit there and say how good Detroit is, would be bad coverage and give you Pitt fans a fit and no hope. It is there job to keep you Pitt fans interested. I don't know how many of you will be here after going down 2-0 and so on, unless you want say again how is Fleury is better than Osgood or whatever.

The Wings have no distractions and have all the confidence in the world.

Like a man possessed, this team is on a roll. This is and will be a learning experience for the Pens and hopefully they will learn from it for the future. The line up changes that were made are just changes. They will not help and you will see that. You can count on not winning the cup. I welcome all arguments and comments. I will also stand up and eat crow and take any abuse deserved, if for some reason, we fall flat. Extremely unlikely....
