  1. I'd be more suspicious of the complete lack of scientific evidence.  Global warming is a faith based belief.

  2. welcome to the US, the land of conspiracy theories

See, this is why nobody takes you seriously anymore.

Do you have any other stories to entertain me?

  3. Funny, considering this one is championed by the socialists.

From the Socialist Party USA website:

"2. The U.S. must immediately return to participation in international agreements, such as the Kyoto Protocol, limiting carbon emissions, and accept a major role in worldwide efforts to control global warming."

  4. Global Warming is just that, another manufactured crisis.  Every so often there's some new scare designed to keep us on egg shells, and it usually involves taking money from us.

    Global Warming

    Global cooling

    the Y2K scare

    The Holes in the ozone

    Acid rain

What happened to acid rain?  Did we stop it? The "war on terror" is another one.  Remember the colors for the terror alerts.  No one knew where it would strike, but we had to be vigilant depending on what color we were at the time.

Global Warming is the worst.  The best way to combat it, is to plant trees since plants thrive on CO2.  The only problem is it doesn't take huge amounts of money away from the general car-driving public and so Al Gore can't push his carbon credits and get all the money.

I've looked at carbon credit websites and there appears to be no real governing body, they want you write a check, no matter how little you drive, and send it in.

  5. No.  This is scientific fact.  Forgive the length of this answer, the proof is massive, and mostly in the links.

This is science and what counts is the data.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)

    Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut

Here are two summaries of the mountain of peer reviewed data that convinced Admiral Truly and the vast majority of the scientific community, short and long.

    summarized at:

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

EVERY major scientific organization has issued an official statement that this is real, and mostly caused by us.  The National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Physics, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Association, etc.
