  1. You jokin?   Davidson was a mirror-kissing cutie who worried more about his looks and corney afro,  with the shelf on the back, and his DeBarge record collection than any boxing career.  We had girls more rugged than him in my school.

Hagler would have been insulted that they put such a ghurly man in the ring with him.   Davidson scored a few wins over B-rate competition.  The reason he never got  a shot at Hagler is because he simply didnt deserve it.   There was always a bigger threat.   Marvin never ducked anyone.

Id go as far as to say that,  had he got a shot at the title,  Davidson might have figured out a way out of the fight before hand,  an injury here,  manicure there.

I see him running like a deer and Hagler tracking him down and putting him to sleep in 5.  Then cursing the promoter for making the fight in the first place.

Hagler mows him down in 5

  2. Dwight Davison was a decent fighter but nowhere near Hagler's class.  Hagler would have won that fight inside of 6 rounds.

  3. Davidson was a tall fighter with a pretty good punch that never lived up to his potential.  Hagler of course is considered by many as the greatest middleweight champion of all time a fearless fighter with an iron chin and iron will.  I believe Hagler would have devastated Davidson with a flurries of hard rights and lefts sending him to the canvas in round 5.

  4. i don't much about davison, but i believe that he was a talented fighter who fell short of his true potential.

but even at his very best, he would have been no match for marvin.
