  1. No.

Now if it was a city-killer size, they would, to try to evacuate that city, and to prevent people from saying "someone dropped a nuke on us"

  2. Of course not.

They would rather us be all ignorant.

  3. haha no probably not. art bell might though

  4. ROFL you are awesome Candy Man!

But I would say most definitely yes. After all, the Dem's just love it when everyone is in panic and an uproar, plus if it happens soon they can blame Bush for it!

  5. The asteroid is coming & you know about it, so why are you asking if the "government" would tell us about it.

I read about it on the Drudge Report & other  Internet news aggregators.

So, why the fear of censorship?

What the Bush administration is not telling us are the responses to the monumental backlog of Freedom of Information (FOIA) requests filed by various media & citizens.

  6. First of all, nothing “earth size” is heading our way (because of gravity and other reasons).

Nevertheless, there are millions of amateur astronomers (really good ones) who would spot it (and things very much smaller) soon after (if not before) anyone else. It would be impossible to keep something like that secret.

  7. First off: an "earth-sized asteroid" is a planet.

If an earth-sized planet were heading towards us,

though it would certainly be quite visible  to

lots of peple,  yes the government would tell us.

They'd tell us "it's alright, it's not going to hit  us!"

I once spotted  a comet before it had been  reported

in literature I was accustomed to getting  my information

on such things from.  It didn't mean that since I'd

seen it I  could calculate it's trajectory with any

    certainly!

I'm not sure  the technology is good enough yet  they

even could determine with  certainly whether  such a

thing would or would not hit us. We're an awfully small

target floating in an unthinkably large  space.

  8. probably not

and it will be George w Bush's fault

  9. Every observatory would see it, there would be no hiding the news..

  10. I hope not

  11. Even if they did, what would be the point?

And yes, they probably would. I remember in the 80's when an asteroid was supposedly on a collision course with Earth. It was all over the news.

  12. The Candy Man will not let it happen.

    Who can take a sunrise

    Sprinkle it in dew

    Cover it in chocolate

    and a miracle or two?

    Who can take a rainbow

    Wrap it in a sigh

    Soak it in the sun

and make a strawberry lemon pie?

    The candyman

    The candyman can

The candyman can cause he mixes it

with love and makes the world taste good!

  13. Doubtful...very.
