It IS a matter of public interest.  Not the affair; the lie.  When a person with political ambitions repeatedly lies to protect his reputation the public should have this information.

local news here in Raleigh, NC said that he went so he could tell her to keep the affair "private"...ok...sounds 'fishy" to me...has he never heard of a phone?

Does not matter to me. The only people who should care are Edwards and his wife and the woman he had the affair with.

When he decides to hold or run for public office then I'll care.  As of now he's a private citizen so I couldn't care less what he does.
