  1. Neanderthal had brow ridges which could have acted like a visor on a hat. I see where you could go with that.  I have seen a reconstruction of one that didn't have the ridges.

    JeeVee is correct, we don't know, I suppose I was going reconstructions I had seen.


  2. Bushmen and the Dinka in African deserts  have them, as do Eskimos. The major hypothesis is that the fold is formed in places where there's alot of sunlight, or its reflecting off of stuff like snow.  Its possible that that adaptation was not necessary to Neanderthals to thrive in their environment whereas in Asian, Bushmen, and Eskimo climates the trait was advantageous.

  3. Epicanthic folds are not slanted eyes!

    For all we know Neanderthals may have had them?
