If this man that owes me 13,000 in past due child support file at the very last minute would his stimulus check be at a later time. I did get his State check of 197.00 back on May 22. but so far nothing else. I put his SS in the web site to see when check should be coming, and nothing is there. Is that normal? Or can I just assume I won't get anything. The only ofset that he has, that I can tell is Child support. I called that number.

  1. you sure he filed a tax return, and not an extension?

  2. Not everyone receives a stimulus refund check, I believe it's based on a calculation regarding one's income. Either way, the irs.gov website should still have a breakdown of the mailing of the checks, it is based on the last four numbers of one's social security.

  3. This is HIS tax return not yours.  You should NOT be trying to use the applets at the IRS site to monitor him.

You have no idea if he filed, when he filed or even if he's getting a refund.  If he OWES taxes to the IRS, even if there is a stimulus assigned to him, it goes first to taxes.

  4. on the irs webiste it states any tax returns processed after or right before the deadline, will have their stimulus rebates  processed later.

  5. If he efiled at the last minute, it would most likely delay his stimulus payment until late July or August.  If he filed by mail, it pretty surely will.

Are you sure he has filed, even at the last minute?

    Good luck.

  6. If he owes the irs money it will go to them before getting garnished to you.  And he is fine with the irs then you should get the check at a latter time then usual because of the late filling and he will recieve a nice little piece of paper informing him to say asta lavista to his stimulus check.  lol..
