then surely wont Arsenal win the title this season, if they were 4 points off last year with a bunch of teenagers who were written off before the season started, big names having left, and a captain in his first year at the club? they can only get better no?

  1. Arsenal players suck. No experience at any level and especially European level which might cost a huge problem. Arsenal players still need to develop and try to get used to playing against such huge teams. It might take a couple of years for Arsenal to win the Premier League title or the Champions League Title.

  2. A lot of people are missing your point, "experienced players make a team better", if thats what you're saying Arsenal proved that wrong last season with an average age of 19 making it to the semi finals of the Carling Cup for 2 seasons running and an average age of 24 finishing only 4 points behind the Champions Man Utd.

People put the blame on Wenger for not buying experienced players and for not buying already established stars like Liverpool, Man Utd & Chelsea but they still managed to lead the Premier League for 7 or whatever months, & make it to the quarter finals of the Champions League, with the smallest squad in terms of depth in the "top 4" and the most inexperienced squad with the average age being 24.

  3. Ya..that's TRUE....

  4. No, they have to be good, before they can get better :P

  5. It depends on whether Wenger sells any more vital players in the next transfer window really. I highly doubt they'll win the title this season.

  6. thats absolutely true

being young doesnt mean we are an inexperienced team

last year we had a lot of young players in our squad ,yet they could still outplay many of the experienced and older players and be first for almost the whole duration of the premiership

especially now with nasri and ramsey in our squad,we will certainly do better

  7. This would have been through if they managed to make sure the squad sticks together, but they didn't, they have new players now and no one ever knows how knew players pan out in a new team...so no.

  8. i had to re-read ur q, about 5 times..

    still dont get it..

but ..will make my answer plain and simple:::

    Arsenal == title LESS

    =)

  9. what? how can you say that after knowing that experience has left the team and it has been replaced by youth. had the entire Arsenal team stayed in tact they would most likely take the prem but how can you say "Experience/Age makes a team better" when they have lost experienced players like Helb and Flamini and had them replaced by youngsters likes Nasri and so on.

Arsenal have a good chance but that's all clubs have a chance the rest is up to who stays fit and gets the most points. can they do it, it seems so but let's see.

  10. That doesn't MEAN they will win! They have a chance and I would not write them off but your logic and way of thinking doesn't mean much...certainly not that they WILL win! They have a chance!

  11. your logic applies to every club, now the fact that 2 players hleb and lehmann, both said that arsenal will struggle must mean there is something going on in the back ground. i would think they would be better placed to make that judgement.

torres was on his debut season and he did ok, arsenal last year lost the winning habit after the fa cup defeat by man utd, that shows inexperience.

  12. You do have some very strange logic when it comes to football.

    The answer is no.

  13. Its true experience does give a team the edge over those with less experience

    BUT

    Its not the main factor

Arsenal last season were rather unlucky

Eduardo's broken foot and injuries there you named it

This season looks more challenging as Flamini and Silva have left

But as the 2007 season proved, Arsenal are more than a one-man team as they coped with Henry's loss

If Cesc and RVP can constantly perform to their best Arsenal will be a real title contenders

And to answer your last question, YES they can only improve themselves

    For United, Chelsea and Liverpool

WATCH OUT FOR THE YOUNG GUNNERS!

(This comes from a non-Arsenal fan)

  14. You'll never win anything with kids!

  15. You have even less players now than this time 12 months ago. Its not just age, the same 16 players cant play 40+ games next season.

  16. that is true. us fans really want to see some cups this season and i think we will. i have always had high hopes for our young players and i think arsene wenger has done a really good job with them.
