I am waiting for a change of status from a j1 to f1 visa. I want to know how long can I stay here If my visa is denied!!

  1. You should leave as soon as possible after you receive notification that your change of status was denied.  Otherwise, you are subject to arrest, detention, and deportation, which will impact any future chances you might have to come back to the US.


  2. If it is denied, leave immediately! we are already overrun with too many illegal immigrants!

  3. If the request is denied, you must leave the US immediately.  Every day after you receive the notice will count as illegal overstay, which is very important if you hope to enter again in another visa category.

  4. you must make every arrangement possible to leave as you as you have received notice that the visa was denied,

    if not? you may find yourself deported and barred from future entries in the US , which in turn would follow you in entries in other countries. it would show on your international records of visa.
