If GE sells NBC how will it affect the stock price will it go up or down?

will the stock go up or down and if anybody that knows a thing or two about theese things who do u think GE stock look going into the last half of 2008

  3. GEs stock has been hit because of two things: exposure to subprime debt and the slowing of the world economy.

    As well as NBC, GE is a finance company has well- GE Money. This divsion has had exposure to bad loans.

    GE makes locomotives, water, plastics, and more. It can be used as an index for world economic growth- which has slowed down considerably, and will in the next 2 years.

    Jeff Immelt, CEO, has talked of the sale of NBC, saying it wont happen. He says it would be foolish with the Olympics right around the corner.

    The price action of the stock would depend on the price GE would get for the division.
