  1. Global Warming is NOT REAL!!!!!!!!!

For Cripes sakes, we have been getting into the 40's at night in Cleveland....

The earth goes through a natural cycle of warming and cooling. Its happened thousands of times in the past.  We just now have the technology and science to track this information and data....

And we have not experienced any warming of the earth since 1998!!!

  2. Well, global warming can and does in fact lead to colder winters as well as hotter summers. Now whether or not this time GW had a significant impact I can't say but it does and may in the future. But, I do think GW is really exagerated. I belive it exists, but like everything else some people are passionate about, they scare you and exagerate by manipulating satistics and "facts" to make it seem worse than it is.

  3. Because Al Gore was on vacation. Global warming is only prevalent when he's out and about the country shooting off his mouth about it.

  4. Global Warming is a farce. The world has natural cooling and warming cycles that have been happening for millions of years.

  5. The term "global warming" is a misnomer. It's more frequently referred to as "global climate change." The idea isn't that everywhere on earth will get warmer, it's that everything will change. Storm systems become stronger, some places become drier, some become rainier, others warmer, others colder.

There are indeed cycles that the earth goes through in terms of climate, but the idea behind global climate change hinges on the fact that carbon dioxide emissions are higher than they ever have been before and continue to rise at a speed never before seen. Since CO2 is a greenhouse gas and traps heat within the earth, it's believed that it will have a significant impact on our current climate.

  6. While personally I have a very hard time believing in global warming there is an ever increasing debate about it.  I would much prefer the focus become about clean energy, but that is just me.  For more information on both ends of the argument visit.

    I hope this helps.

  7. If you think about it,if the earth is getting warmer and the ice is melting in the poles than the cold fronts from there would cause the other parts of the earth to experience colder winters. But one thing is certain, global warming is very real,it is not a fake as some have said.

  8. global warming causes summers and winters to be milder.

    that's what happened last year.

  9. hi chris, because the atlantic stream was lower than it should be that's why in england we have had "Indian summers" which reached temperatures of 18-19*C in the last 10 years we have`nt had snow on the ground since 1994 and that was a drift of 2 and a half feet.

  10. It's too bad Al couldn't get your attention for the other 20 plus years he was fighting this fight!

If you look at the big picture here - no bigger that that... no even bigger.... It's about covering our asses so that the oil companies don't run the show and end up putting oil dericks in everyones front yard and ruining the landscape and water supply and our quality of life- are people really that dumb --guess so.

There are more important things than some teenager getting a new gas powered car to perpetuate the cycle of destruction!!!!!!

  11. I agree. Global warming seems to have a "convenience factor" to it.  In other words who and what will it bring the most attention to. Case in point- If exhaust gasses are causing the most damage.....how come the trees and bushes on the side of the road are'nt dying first. I mean there the closest to the tailpipes? But an iceberg in northern nowhere with no roads within a hundred miles all of a sudden seems to want to melt faster than normal. Huh?  Lot of questions that no one seems to be able to answer. I think its just a buzz word that people are trying to ride the band wagon on.

  12. ha ha totally agree. the earth has warmed up but about 1.2 degrees. the record high for detroit was 99 degrees in 1944. lol. there was more snow this yr then there has been in 30 yrs. plus all the storms is normal. its just a bunch of city focks and tree hugers

  13. It wasn't. That statistic is uutter baloney and I defy you to substantiate it.

    I won't hold my breath.

There are huge parts of the world that experienced a very mild winter.

But you have no facts on your side, just hearsay, so you will not like this answer.

  14. I think that it's title is misleading. GLOBAL is right it is not in one locality it is everywhere. WARMING refers to the ice caps melting and not reforming. How this effects you where you live is different than other places, however it does effect everyone. Polar bears and other inhabitants of the north are already greatly effected. Some places are having unusually stormy weather, earthquakes. tornadoes. IT IS NOT ABOUT WARM WEATHER. google and read what it is before making an uneducated statement.

  15. Last winter wasn't the coldest and snowiest in ten years...GLOBALLY

    (You asked about GLOBAL warming)

It may have been the coldest and snowiest where you live, wherever that is, but that would be weather, not global climate.

Weather = a phenomenon localised in both time (usually one season or less) and place

Climate change = a medium-term (>ten years) phenomenon over the entire planet.

Weather is not the same as global warming.

Global warming models predict that weather patterns are likely to become less predictable (they change) with increasing incidents of extremes (wetter, colder, hotter or drier than usual).

As the planet warms, weather patterns will change - although in general the planet will get warmer and/or wetter some areas will get colder and/or drier.

Having one cold and snowy winter in one place fits into global warming predictions. It also, however, fits into general random weather events.

No conclusions one way or another can be drawn.

  16. In central Washington state an area that is now desert there are petrified ginkgo trees so the area was once a lush forest. In bible times the cedars of Lebanon were prized, cedars grow in wet coastal areas, today Lebanon is a desert.

Ancient remains of aquatic tropical animals are found in the sahara desert, evident proof that it was at one time wet and fertile Oil the remains of animals and vegetation are being discovered in the arctic.

If the polar ice caps are melting the seas would be rising, and they are not.

A mini ice age hit in the early 1.200s millions died of starvation in Europe because crops would not grow. the cliff cities of the Anastasi in the American southwest were abandoned at about this time. Would it be reasonable to assume that they were forced to move south to warmer climes?

What is ny point? We apparently exist on a planet that is, and always has been, in constant climate change, and who could examine the evidence and not conclude that it will continue to do so? .
