If God doesn't want us to kill ourselves ... ?

Because life of this world is not  meant  to be free from all problems.

Allah gives us this short life only to test our souls.  

The Real and eternal life of happiness  free from problems will be given us in heaven for those who will pass Allah's tests in this life by doing righteous deeds in obedience to all commands of Allah and not committing  sins by killing or hurting others.

God did make a perfect world, until Eve and Adam sinned and were thrown out of the Garden of Eden.  It is a sin to kill ourselves.  God says in His Word that He will never give us anything that we cannot bear with Him by our side.  It is the sinful, evil nature of man that listens to Satan's lies and finally gives up.

It's not up to God to change the world. It's up to man. God gave us free will and it is a personal choice whether of not to believe in Him. As for religion look what's happening in the world. So much killing in his name. So much torture and degradation based on belief. God has nothing to do with any of it. It's mankind. Ask your president to make this world a better place instead. Or the bigger question, ask yourself how you can make this world a better place, for yourself and others.

Good point, although, I'll die when God wants me to obviously. I don't wanna kill myself or anyone. But, suicide rates would go down if the world was a better place.

This world is a beautiful place. It is the humans who cause fitna (havoc and chaos). Allah delivers us by His grace from all things we fear or remorse over etc. but one must trust Allah and know that no matter what living by His will is the best way to live.

Often the unsettling of the human spirit is because of straying away from God. Then all things look terrible and frightening and yet when a person is following Allah, the world doesn't look that way or if in a country that is in inhumane plight Allah makes a way for us to endure and still be grateful.

I hope you are not wanting suicide or contemplating it. It is Haraam. Give Allah a chance. Often when a person is depressed it may be a mental health problem. Allah has provided help for this too and its okay for us to use the medical field for answers.

Don't get worked up or depressed about the life of this World, by Allah it's not worth it brother.

As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in this beautiful Hadith:

"An excursion during the beginning of the day in the way of Allah or an excursion at the end of the day in the way of Allah is better than the World and that which is in it. The length of one of your arms or the place where one's foot (stands on in Paradise) is better than the World and all which is in it. And were a woman from the women of Paradise to appear to the inhabitants of the Heavens and the Earth, she would have illuminated what is between them and she would have filled what is between them with fragrance. And her Naseef - meaning her veil - is better than the World and all that is in it." (Bukhari)

May Allah remove the sadness and depression from your heart and help us all not become deluded by the life of this World.
