Made the Earth.

And made man.

BUT, Man disobeyed him,

Then why didn't he just make a new Earth, with New Humans?

  1. the bible is flawed.  Man cannot disobey god. That would make man more powerful or equal to god.

  2. God did not make man he evolved. the earth was created big bang theory etc. etc. therefor there is no one out there in the cosmos to disobey and no one out there to make a new earth!

  3. B/c that new Earth would yeild the same result. God did make man, but He gave us free will. And that free will leads to us disobeying Him. But He loves us and wants us to rely on Him and acknowledge Him.

I know what I want to say, but I know it came out clear as mud...very good question in deed!

Another way I look at it is, when we disobeyed our parents, why didn't they have a new kid, with hopes that they wont disobey us? All parents know that their kids will disobey them, yet they love them anyway for who they are.

  4. Not sure, maybe He didn't want to give up on us.

  5. Because he was invented by man to explain why the earth and humans are here as they are, not to posit the existence of a "good" place for us to live.

  6. If you made a jungle gym, and the kids used it wrongly, do you think that your kids would have any respect for your authority if you destroyed it? Or do you think that in time, after a few broken bones, they might come to see the wisdom of your guidance?

  7. depends on your definition of god(s) .

  8. I guess it's the same reason most of us won't just drop a disobedient dog off on the side of the road to fend for itself.  As the dog's caretaker, it's our responsibility; as "man's" creator he had some responsibility to care for us, eh?

Of course, who's to say he didn't make a new Earth with new stuff on it?

  9. Perhaps He did...

Perhaps man was never told, as punishment, for man's disobedience.

    It's an interesting thought.

  10. The thing is that if God makes man in his image, and man fails him, then he has failed himself.

Besides he was father to Adam technically, so the basic parental rules still exist. A father can disapprove of a son's decision, even disown him, but they are still father and son.

Mind you it is God, so he could have several Adams all over the universe, they would have their own bibles and doctrines apart from our own and we could never know. It's sort of a big place.

  11. well that's the thing...God isn't a human and if he were then yeah he might have created a new Earth. but in the heart of this god, he is able to forgive the mistakes of those that he created. no ones perfect and he didn't expect them to be when he made man so... he's basically giving man a chance to redeem himself from selfishness.

  12. Because He loved us more than to simply treat us like spare parts and start over; at that point, humanity was still salvageable.

  13. Anthropology is the study of man. THEOlogy is the study of gods.

    Ask a THEOLOGIST.
