If Google isnt making any money with Youtube, how are folks like Chris Crocker making any serious money?

I would like to know if people actually make serious money only on Youtube. Or do they only become famous and have to find another way to get to riches?

Of course Bands and musical artists can sell their music on Itunes etc or have tour revenues but what about Youtube-Stars (eg. Athenewins)? Do they actually get serious money from the GoogleTube for having so many hits.

chris crocker doesnt make any money off youtube because he isn't a "youtube partner". but, he gets paid to advertise and is often paid for TV appearances. hes launcing a new website called mschriscrocker.com. youtube hates him. they knocked him off most viewed and most subscribed. ATHENE on the other hand, is a partner on youtube so he gets paid. and not only that, he has movie/dvd sales. and smosh [hate them] makes like a freaking 11 million a year selling their worthless junk online for at least 700 dollars a piece. buck makes it off his website and hes a partner. Niga higa isn't a partner, he doesn't have a website, he does it for fun but due to his videos, he got a movie contract. haha

Well, they get lots a views and famous videos and then companies sponsor them and pay them to do whatever they want that they will think will bring in the most money. So,yes,In a way it will make you pretty good money if you get Chris Crocker famous.
