Bill can run as a vice presidential candidate because he is not eligible to run as president.  The vice president must be eligible to be president.

As he has already served 2 terms, the answer is no.

Actually John T is wrong about the VP needing to be eligible to be President - I just checked and the Constitution makes no such mention.

Still, she won't pick him because VPs disappear into the dust.

He would make a much better Cabinet member such as Secretary of State. And that may be true regardless of who the next Democratic president is.

No - what possible benefit would she get from doing so?

Bill Clinton would be valuable to Hillary for two reasons.

1. He is an enormously popular figure who would help her get elected.

2. He would be a valuable advisor and confidante.

Either of these can be maximised simply by having him as first gentleman. This offers the ability to bring another head and name into the campaign as running mate.
