  1. I do not know where you get your definition. Memory is only stored in your brain.

  3. From what I've heard, "soul" and "memory" are not thought by most people to be synonymous. It's generally thought that the soul is what stores memory or allows its recording, but that memory is not the essence of the soul. Sort of like the difference between computer files and the hard drive they're stored on. You can save, copy, or transfer the files, but that won't make the new hard drive identical to the old one.
