  1. LIFE IS NOT FAIR!

    Get used to it...

  2. Humans did not evolve from monkeys and apes, the three of us evolved from a common ancestor.  I think if you read some more about evolution you will understand it better.

Even if it wasn't the case that we all came from a common ancestor it is possible for some members of a species to follow a different evolutionary path.  Geographic isolation can cause some members to evolve differently, it's possible that what we now call two different species might once have been classified as the same species.

  3. the key word is a common ancestor. both humans and apes had a common ancestor and thats where we split up. a group became humans and another group became the monkeys we see running around.  its like taking an apple and cutting it in half and using half of it to make apple juice and the other half to make apple cobbler.  simplest way i can describe it.

  4. I think it is best said by some Africian tribesmen when asked about the monkeys in the nearby forest.  They say, you mean the ones who were too lazy to come down from the trees.

  5. because we didn't!!!!! If we did then monkeys would still be EVOLVING into humans...and well they arent!!

  6. Wow, when are people gonna stop asking this dumb question? It's like people who know better just keep asking it to make creationism look even worse. This is THE stupidest evolution question ever.

  7. Humans, apes, and monkeys all evolved way back from a common ancestor.

    Harleigh Kyson Jr.

  8. we didn't evolve directly from apes, but from a common ancestor that we shared at some point roughly 4 million years ago (we aren't really directly related to monkeys).

And just a side note for those of you who always break out the "carbon dating doesn't work and isn't accurate" argument to try and disprove evolution-- carbon dating is only used to date things 10,000 year old max,  but relative dating using stratigraphy or radiometric dating using potassium argon 40 are incredibly precise and can date objects and remains accurately up to 5.5 million years ago.

  9. they are here as the "bad example"

we did not evolve from apes or monkeys.

  10. Them are some way relatives...

Not spacemonsters from the Tau ceti or elsewhere from.

I think there is nothing wrong about us if we let apes and monkeys coexist.

If our more religion centered ancestors tolerated them, why should'nt we even better?

  11. Apes evolved from monkeys, but of course monkeys continued to evolve too, as did apes. Eventually, some 6 million years ago according to recent fossil finds, bipedal apes evolved (as opposed to the quadrapedal apes).  As evolution continued, many lines of both upright walking & knuckle walking apes became extinct, but some were able to meet the challenges presented by their changing environment as they evolved.  Therefore, neither the upright walking nor the knuckle walking members of the primate order resemble their distant ancestors.

I suggest you look for identical questions under yahoo as this has been answered in detail countless times.  Because you are a relatively new member, I am considering this a valid question.

  12. Theory is the basis of the scientists before, now and after. But if you believe in that, it's your decision if you will believe. But if you ak me, I would rather believe in the bible. Because it is more stated rather than a research. It's all up to you if you will believe or not.

  13. Because we're not from Apes and Monkey's
