If I'm a vegetarian, is it ok to make s'mores with marshmallow peeps?

As you can tell by my dress, I am an advocate against the slaughtering of poultry.

Contrary to the simple answers so far it's quite doubtful that Peeps are vegetarian. Standard marshmallows aren't vegetarian and standard sugar isn't either. Both would contain animal by-products such as gelatin or bone char.

Marshmallows contain gelatin, an animal byproduct. They cook down bones, hoofs and conective tishew to make it. If your a vegetarian for health reasons a few s'mores aren't going to kill you. No one is going to make you return your Veggie ID card, and there are no veggie police.

to answer your question, it is a question of morals.  Some vegetarians eat gelatin, whlie others don't.  Just as some vegetarians will eat pepperoni pizza if the pepperoni is pulled off.  Either way, it still does support the murder and consumption of animals.

Well, just as long as you realize that nobody has proved Peeps don't have souls. You may be unintentionally eating a live marshmallow

no. They have gelatin, which is derived from animal tendons. You can order vegetarian marshmellows online. I will put the website in sources. You may be okay with eating gelatin, and some people are, but it is not vegetarian meaning lacto-ovo (no meat/chicken but dairy and eggs).
