If I'm driving at the speed limit why all the cars are moving faster than me?

this happens to me.they are probably speeding. i just got a ticket for trying to keep up.very exspensive lesson to learn. you may also want to have your speedometer checked.it could be wrong and this can be fixed.

Just stay to the right as required by law in most states. (slower traffic use right lane). Sign doesn't say if you go the speed limit you can use any lane. HINT: regardless of your speed, legal or otherwise, there will always be someone that wants to go faster. for your safety let em go,,,,,

I like.... how when you drive at the appropriate speed limit there is always some road rager tailgating you trying to get passed. I fail to see why I should move to the inside lane to let them through!

Just keep driving the speed limit and stay in the right lane. Most cops will give you a 10-mph leeway on the speed limit but I wouldn't test it unless running late.

In many cases the speed limits are a joke(55 MPH on a freeway?) and most cops give you 10-15 MPH leeway over the speed limit. Just make sure that you are NOT in the "fast" aka left lane while going the speed limit. That lane is for passing only AND you can end up getting yourself killed if you're going to slow in that lane. The lanes with the most accidents/deaths are the fast lane and the slow lane(far right).

The slow lane because people are merging and cant merge or people are ******* and wont let them merge. In the left lane because people are going too fast and running into people going too slow.

If you go 55 or 65, they go 75 or 85.

Either they're going faster, or you're speedometer is inaccurate - probably both.

The safest thing to do is to drive either at or just below the speed of the other vehicles.  Driving too much slower is inviting an accident, and crying "I did nothing illegal" doesn't help you if you're in the hospital.  Just stay in the right lane, and you'll be fine.

Its because I was behind them no just kidding.  Its because all these people are in a hurry or running late and instead of taking a few extra minutes of being late they would rather speed past you and almost cause and accident to get there five minutes sooner.  Its stupid it doesn't make sense.

I agree, those teenagers think that they're impressing people by speeding past the speed limit; although they are just like the people who smoke or swear, they all fall in the same catergory. They think that they're cool because they do something either harmful to people or just plain rude.

my uncle drive a semi 2 times a week he drives from slc,Utah to la,ca most of The way the speed limit is 75, he drives 65 it makes 15 minutes diff. each way.
