If I'm entering college in the spring semester, when do I need to file for FAFSA?

sorry about the misinformation, Spring 2009, I graduate from high school this june and start in 09 in the spring

  1. March first was the deadline, but you can still file, you just may not get as much

  3. For spring 09, you need to apply as soon as possible.

  4. For the spring '09 term, make sure you fill out the FAFSA for the '08-'09 aid year.  You should be able to fill it out now on the official website:

    www.fafsa.ed.gov

    Also, since you are a dependent student (meaning you are younger than 24, no children, unmarried), your parents will have to be involved with filling it out.  

    Your guidance counselor at your high school should be an excellent resource for you when it comes to filling it out.  If not, you can call the toll free number at the website.
