If I'm going to get nasty side effects (nasea, etc) from Birth Control pills, how soon will I feel them?

I started low-dose mircette monday nite. I think it probably takes a week or two? I am certainly hoping I don't get bad effects, of course. My mom didn't have any when she was on the pill, so I'm hopeful I'll be in the same boat.. Input appreciated, thx.

When I first went on the pill, I started experiencing the side effects the next day.

By the way, you can help the nausea by taking your pills with milk instead of water.
