  1. I am sure Texas is much like SC.  When I started homeschooling my 2 girls, they gave me a card that will show the  SC DMV they are homeschooled.  That's all one needs to get going  with DMV.  They told me that, and my grand is only 14, so we still have a bit of time left.  But it was nice to know!

  2. Whether you are in public/private school or home schooled has no bearing on when you can get your permit or license.

  3. yes, we went thru a private drivers ed. It cost almost as much

as if he went to high school.

  4. I am home schooled and I recently got permit last month at the age of 15, so I'm pretty sure you can get your learners. Even your license, and don't be afraid to go to the DMV and ask. Because different states have different regulations. In SC you have to be 15 and 3 months, and in VA you have to be 15 and 6 months. It all depends on the state, but trust me you are well qualified for getting both your learners and license, but remember you must be 16 and 9 months i think to get your license . At least that's what the requirement for VA is.
