  1. You are probably strangling the  grip which tightens the muscles of the arms which results in a restricted swing. You must be less tense and as Sam Snead indicated " when gripping your club make believe you are holding a small feathery bird whom you do not wish to injure."That is all the grip pressure required to to swing a golf club.

  2. That is one possibility.

There are so many hitches in a swing that could cause improper ball flight.

For instance, on your back swing, if you come inside the ball, then you are more likely to hook it.  If you start outside the ball, then you are more likely to slice the ball.

If you can afford it, a couple of lessons with a local pro should be able to fix any swing problems you might have.

  3. try this...

get a large tube of toothpaste...open it up and grip it like a golf club...

    practice a swing...

if any toothpaste comes out...you are gripping the 'club' too hard.

    belive it or not.

  4. yes, it could. You shouldn't be holding it tightly at all. It should be just loose enough so that it doesn't fly out of your hands. The CLUB does the work for you if you use it correctly.

  5. Get your shaft out.  I will show you the proper grip to use to get those shots out just right.

Good thing you keep your balls clean...that's also very important.

  6. Your just to excitied.....slow the roll and you should be fine....
