If I'm not here to receive my package, will USPS send it to the nearest postal office? Would they leave a note on my door saying that it will be at the postal office for pick-up?

  1. I had a package that was delivered from UPS and I was not home. They just went to my neighbor's house and had them sign for it. Then when I got home, they brought it to me.  So I dont really know if it goes to the post office or not.

  2. They will stick a tiny note in your mail box telling you when they will try to deliver it again, or for you to pick it up and at which branch.
