  1. No. Sand turns into a glass like substance when struck by lightning.

  2. probably not. im almost certain actually. i mean.....unlesss you burried your self completely. but then the rain would wash it all off.

  3. no its a common misconception that sand would absorb the strike, like rubber or leather. your best bet would be wearing shoes that have rubber souls and NO STEEL TOE

  4. when sand is cought on fire it turn to glass so i wouldn't

  5. Nah!! Haven't you seen the movie Sweet Home Alabama!!

When lightening strikes sand it melts it and creates weird glass art!!

  6. no, u would sufficate when the sand turns hard because the lightning struck it.  Neva try it out! <3

  7. PLEASE, if you can see lightning striking, even in the distance, it's time to get off the beach, get off the fishing pier, beach your sailboat/kayak/fishing boat, and find shelter. Get into your car or into a building. Wait a while and the storm will often pass.

  8. It shouldn't help, especially against lightning. Oh, and NEVER try it!!!
