  1. if you are staying downtown the best way to get around in center city is to take a septa bus. the ones on walnut and chestnut go up and down the city and stop at every block. otherwise id take a cab

  2. Philly Phlash.

    Septa Buses.

    Septa Trains.

  3. I'm from Philly too! If you want to get around Center city there are many different Septa buses you could take. If you wanna get to South Philly take the Subway, and if you want to get to places all over Philly in the quickest time then take the El (elevated train), once I traveled all the way from 8th street to 69th street in about 15 minutes! Hope this helps!

  4. Most of the downtown is walkable.  During the tourist season (until Sept I think), the Phlash shuttle runs in a continuous loop via all the major attractions), you can pay per ride or per day (very cheap).

Next up is septa, which runs underground lines along the major N/S and E/W axis, plus bus and trolley routes that branch from there.

Finally, there is always a cab.  It really depends on your locations and time you have to transit them.
