If I Call A Cell Phone From my Land-line

I live in Arizona... and they live in California... if i call them with my land line on their sprint cell phone.. does it still charge me long distance?

  1. You have to pay for any charges you incur to call the area code that their phone is registered to.  So:

    If they are using a cell phone with a California number, Yes you will be charged long distance fees.

    But:

    Should they be using an Arizona registered phone (e.g. college students living at school with a phone on their parents plan) then no you would not have to pay long distance  to call their cell.
