If I Jailbreak my ipod touch then restore it and send it to apple for repairs is my warranty still void?

I know jailbreaking voids the warranty, but if it is restored can they tell that it was jailbroken. Any help will do. Thanks

  1. I heard putting it into DFU mode and then restoring makes it harder for Apple to know you jailbroke it.

    That site shows instructions on how to put your iPod touch into DFU mode. Once you put it into DFU mode, you can then restore to a clean version of the firmware your using.
