If you don't literally mix bleach and ammonia, are you safe? I want to use Windex with ammonia on my bathroom mirror and then use Comet on the counter and sinks. Is that okay?

  1. At risk from fumes?  Your eyes might water or something, but my mother and I have both been doing it for a very long time with no ill effects.  Put the exhaust fan on if you have one, and if you start to get watery eyes or something, leave the room for a few minutes.

Or if you're concerned, do the Comet, then in about an hour do the Windex.

  2. Yes

  3. You're OK. They mean don't actually mix the 2 together.

  4. If you have a fan in your bathroom, keep it on while you're cleaning, this will help to get rid of any fumes. I would use the Comet first and make sure to rinse it off well, then use the Windex spray on the mirror. Windex also makes a really good antibacterial spray, I use it on my whole bathroom, toilet, sink and mirror. It kills germs, leaves a nice shine and you don't have to worry about mixing your cleaning solvents.

  5. Yes, but turn on the fan for ventilation! Do one at a time in case they get together!
