Question:

If I accidentally put the wrong state for my mother's birthplace on my passport app....?

but put down the correct birthplace for my father, will there be an issue? I don't speak to either of my parents much, so I wasn't sure about my Mom, and put down where I knew she had lived most of her life, assuming she had been born there. Unfortunately, I forgot that they had lived here first, then moved, then moved back. I know the purpose is to establish my citizenship. With my father's being correct and the rest of my info, will my passport go through, and will it get delayed? Should I do anything? (I've had it expedited because my trip is in early March.)

  1. That is an excellent question....tried to find some info, but found none.  I would call the local passport office (go to website listed below and fill in information) and ask them the question.
