It wasn't busy at all, there were three other empty spaces right next to me, but it was right in front of the store and I ended up walking to another store so I was parked there for approximately 40 minutes. My car was still there, there was no ticket in the window when I returned, but when I got back to my car and realized it, this employee from the store looked out at me twice.. Should I be expecting a ticket in the mail? help please.

  1. No if there was no ticket on your car. If the employee did call the police, they can't send a ticket for something there was no proof that you did park for more than 20 minutes.

  2. No.......

As for the employee with the evil eye, he or she was just having a bad day and was trying to make you fell guilty.

  3. No, usually they will give you a ticket right then and there. tickets in the mail usually are only reserved for moving vilations that are caught on camera. like running a red light or a toll booth.

  4. No, you probably won't get a ticket.  No cop would write a ticket without seeing what happened because it would be his/ her butt if the store was mistaken. But, if they have a towing company that patrols, you could get towed. They keep records of when they see you and will tow you because that's how they make there money. I would rethink parking in a store's lot and shopping at another store, especially if parking is at a premium. If I was the employee that saw you, I would have given you a look too. I run a store in a downtown area where parking is at a premium. I have signs posted that parking is for customers only, but people will still park there to go to other shops because it is free.  So when my customers come they have to park far away, or pay for parking if my lot is full. It's not really fair to them though. I have towed some people that park there and go elsewhere. I even had a guy threaten to sue me. Guess no lawyer would take the case.

  5. How does one "accidentally" park in a limited time space?  YOU chose to park in that space.  You even admit that there were other, nearby, spaces.  And THEN, you decide to walk to ANOTHER store! (did the twenty minute space follow you to the other store?)

No, you won't be getting a ticket in the mail, but you might want to readjust your attitude that if things go wrong, for you, that it is some, other, outside influence that is the cause for  your troubles.  The parking was no "accident."  It was a deliberate act on your part.  The extended time you spent shopping was no "accident."  You decided to go to another store.
