  1. NEVER JAILBREAK! It causes so many problems and yet adds nearly nothing!

the 2.0.1 software form apple is stable and works well and lets you add hundreds of apps (many free) from the itunes App Store.

Jail breaking became redundant when the 2.0 software was released as it add almost nothing to the ipods abilities (other than the ability to browse its file structure which also makes it less secure).

Jail breaking also voids the warranty and does cause many issues form files vanishing, memory leaks and loss, rebooting and even failing to boot.

but you can jailbreak 2.0.2 but really there is no point!!

  2. Yes, you can jailbreak using QuickPwn on 2.0.2  I did it not too long ago.  There are loads of things you can do that the stuff from the App store won't allow you to.  There aren't nearly as many cool apps as there were before the 2.0 upgrade, but there still is functionality to be used.  Apple doesn't allow apps to run in the background anymore, so some of the better apps don't work anymore.

There are so many ways to customize and tweak your iPod that it definitely makes it worthwhile.  The first answer here does a fair amount of naysaying about jailbreaking, but I have had no issues at all with any app I have installed.

QuickPwn was definitely the way to go with an iPod Touch.  I had nothing but trouble trying to use PwnageTool, but QP worked first time around without any issue.

  3. yes you can jailbreak it using quickpwn cuz that is how i did it. it is not that difficult if you read the directions carefully. i have a jailbroken 2.0.2 ipod touch and i think that it is great. if some one says that there is no point in jailbreaking an ipod, he or she is wrong. here is a screen of my ipod.

and believe me, i don't have any problems with it. another thing that is great about jailbreaking an ipod above the 2.0 version is that you can install apps from the apps store and from Cydia and/or Installer. you can also install cracked apps (which are paid apps from the app store that have been modified to work with a jailbroken 2.0 itouch) for free. so if you got any questions feel free to contact me.

i have jailbroken my itouch at least 10 times because there would always be a new method and i would always try it. out of all the jailbreaks that i have done i have only gotten i problem but i was able to  fix it and it was all do to not following directions. other than that a jailbroken ipod touch is much better than a regular ipod touch.
