I was using a clean soil for one of my animals, and saw bugs in it. Could I put the bag in a deep freezer to kill anything that's in it?

  1. freezer works, Ive used it

  2. You can treat the earth as you would a wooden hide/limbs, and bake it in the oven at 350 degrees for 1/2 - 1 hr.  Spread it evenly into a large shallow pan.  That will provide your pet with bug free soil, and crunchy snacks!  (Just kidding - couldn't resist).

But, just bake the soil, and voila~!  Insect infestation terminated with prejudice.

I hope this has been helpful.

  3. freezer to oven oven to freezer that should throw the bugs into shock and kill them very quickly

  4. freezer won't do it.  think winter/spring.  they always come back.

    try Diatomaceous Earth

  5. Yes.
